What is PKU express™ plus?

A powdered phenylalanine-free formula for use in the dietary management of Phenylketonuria (PKU). PKU express plus is suitable from 3 years of age.

PKU express plus is a blend of essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrate, docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), vitamins and minerals. It comes in convenient single-serve packets designed to be mixed with water or other permitted beverages to prepare a low volume drink. It is available in 2 pack sizes and 5 flavor options: NEW Raspberry, Unflavored, Orange, Lemon, Tropical.

How much PKU express™ plus do I need to drink?

The amount of PKU express plus you need each day will depend on a variety of factors including your age, weight, and nutrition needs. Your registered dietitian will advise you on how much and which PKU express plus product is right for you.

How do I prepare PKU express™ plus?

PKU express plus is easy to use! You can mix with water or other permitted beverage of choice. Simply…

1. Empty the contents of the packet into a cup with a lid.
2. Add 90 ml (approximately 3 fl oz) of cold water or other permitted beverage. Secure the lid and shake well until powder dissolves.
3. The product should be freshly prepared and used immediately.

If this is not possible, any prepared product must be tightly covered and consumed within 4 hours if kept at room temperature or within 24 hours if refrigerated. Re-shake before use.
